• TPNa™ Vitamin E derivative: Sodium Tocopheryl Phosphate. Vitamin E (α-tocopherol) protects skin from the oxidizing effects of free radicals and oxidation. Unfortunately, vitamin E is not easily converted into aqueous solutions because it is oily and easily oxidized and quickly loses its reducing activity. TPNa™ was developed to overcome these problems and introduced a phosphoryl group to protect the oxygen-sensitive hydroxyl group in tocopherol. It promotes the production of ceramides in the skin.
